Sun bleached floor

Protecting your Investments

In Vermont we LIVE for the days when light streams through our windows but that very same light is damaging to our furniture, flooring and art work.  Why let light ruin your investments when the answer is simple: window treatments!  Floors and furniture should not have tan lines!

Our firm sells two types of window treatments.  The first is what we call ‘foundation’ window treatments: these needs are addressed as part of the room’s architecture.   Wood blinds, honeycomb shades, Roman shades and shutters are all ‘foundation’ window treatments.  These window treatments create a layer of protection – whether it is from sun (or cold).  Fading, discoloration and fabric damage are the downsides of sunlight.  There are three main contributing factors – UVA/UVB rays cause 45 percent of the damage; heat/infrared radiation causes 25 percent; and finally visible light causes 25 percent.  Not good.

We carry an extensive line of window treatments that can solve these and many other issues, such as diffusing light while retaining your view and providing privacy.  We even offer window treatments that can be controlled from your phone.

There is a whole world of window treatments out there and we’d be delighted to guide you through the process.
